Welcome to the website of the National Joint Stock Company «Energy Company of Ukraine» - one of the largest organizations in Ukraine.

Based on the global experience gained in the area of managing national grids, in June 2004 Ukraine has established its national power company – Energy Company of Ukraine – moving a step closer towards the development of the electric power sector.

With this heavyweight structure on the energy market, the state has an unique economic subject destined to manage the state's corporate rights in the sector, promote steady functioning and development of the electric power sector, on whose successful activities the energy safety of the country depends.

The Company soon showed itself as a businesslike and responsible structure able to overcome complexities in functioning of the electric power sector, efficiently manage and co-ordinate activities of companies of strategic importance in the state's economy. 

The Company formed a puissant team of managers whose age averages 37. Given tasks outlined by the government, the Company's personnel works over improving the management of the state's corporate rights, promoting ability of power companies to make profit, optimising their generating and financial activities.

Presently Energy Company of Ukraine actively develops using modern corporate management techniques, carrying out the solid technical, innovating, financial and investment policy based on a systemic approach to implementing short- and long-range plans.

Shareholders of the company with shares transferred to the charter capital of Energy Company of Ukraine improve their generating, technical and financial indices every year. They pay taxes and effect other payments to the budget timely and in good faith, and are an example of how to obey tax discipline.

Knowledge and experience, a high level of responsibility, ability to work in emergencies allow thousands of power specialists to carry out their principal mission by securely supplying consumers with heat and electricity. Practice shows that the management of state power companies can be profitable and rather effective.

We still have to go a winding way to obtain sustainable results, but we do know the direction already.  

 Energy Company of Ukraine is open to all who are interested in establishing business contacts and discussing pressing problems in the development of the power sector. We're looking forward to a constructive dialogue with specialists in the sector and potential partners that, it is to be hoped, would evolve into fruitful and mutually beneficial co-operation.
