NJSC «Energy Company of Ukraine» is a shareholder in 20 Open Joint Stock Companies (OJSC) of the fuel and energy complex that generate and supply electric power.

According to business legal structure the Company is a joint stock company whose authorized capital is set up of state stocks of 4 generating companies, 14 supplying companies, 2 hydro generating companies.

Major mission of NJSC «Energy Company of Ukraine» is reliable and efficient operation and development of the power industry in order to ensure economic and energy security of the state, better compliance with consumers' demand for electric and termal power, efficient public assets management, attracting investment and raising profit.

NJSC «Energy Company of Ukraine» operation is governed by regulatory and legal framework that defines public policy in the energy sector. The key document here is «Energy Strategy of Ukraine till 2030», which defines energy security concepts, specifies main goals and objectives of energy policy, outlines principal directions, priorities and development indicators for Ukrainian energy sector.
