Public Joint Stock Company «Donetskoblenergo» is one of the largest power suppliers of Ukraine with the annual volume of electricity supply over 8 billion kWh. The Company's high technologic level ensures high-quality and reliable electricity supply to the largest industrial region of Ukraine.
The Company distributes electricity to more than 38,000 consumers - legal entities and some 1.8 million of private subscribers.
PJSC «Donetskoblenergo» has the largest grid in Ukraine: over 80,000 km of 0.4 - 110 kV overhead lines and cable lines; the Company operates 372 of 35 - 110 kV substations and over 13,000 of 6-10/0.4 kV transformer substations. «Donetskoblenergo» grid houses some 15,000 transformer units with total capacity of over 12,000 MVA.
PJSC «Donetskoblenergo» consists of 12 structural units, including 8 power grids (Central, Donetsk, Kirov, Kramatorsk, Priazovsk, Khartsyzsk, Donetsk Zakhidni and Makiivka plus Myronivska thermal power plant). Operation and maintenance repair of networks and substations are provided by 39 regional grids, 172 line control offices and 64 offices of high-voltage lines controllers. The Company employs over 9,000 personnel.
PJSC «Donetskoblenergo» is Ukraine's leader in implementation of investment programs on Donetsk preparation for Euro-2012. The Company build and commissioned new substations, ensuring reliable electricity supply for «Donbass Arena» stadium, the new airport and other facilities related to Euro-2012. In 2010 PJSC «Donetskoblenergo» commissioned
3 substations: S/s-110 kV «Peremoga», S/s 110 kV «Zhemchuzhna» and S/s 110 kV «Svyatohorsk». In future the Company plans to commission new substations S/s-110 kV «Misto-11» in Mariupol, S/s-110 kV «Horoshovo», as well as to upgrade S/s-35 kV «Scherbakivska» to 110 kV voltage to ensure a reliable electricity supply to central Donetsk during Euro-2012. In recent years, the Company pays considerable attention to the introducing modern advanced technologies in distribution networks, including installation of vacuum circuit breakers, XLPE cables with up to 110 kV voltage. The second in Ukraine 110 kV cable line was installed at S/s-110 kV «Peremoga». PJSC «Donetskoblenergo» is also implementing alternative energy projects and already issued technical specifications for inclusion of wind power and cogeneration units into its power grid.
