Public joint-stock company «Mykolayivoblenergo» provides the licensed transmission and supply of electricity within Mykolayiv region which area makes 24.6 thousand square km with population of 1,240 million persons. PJSC «Myko-layiv-oblenergo» supplies electric power to 15,885 thousand legal entities, in addition there are above 476,732 thousand household consumers in Mykolayiv city and region. Nowadays PJSC «Mykolayivoblenergo» appreciably influenc¬es economy and development of the region. The powerful energy facilities incorporate three hydroelectric power plants, 20 branches, production services which provide electricity intake and transmission, reliable power supply of consumers. An average number of the personnel makes 3500 employees. The Company operates over 25 thousand km of transmission overhead lines, 1,463 thousand km of cable lines and almost 6 thousand transformer substations.
Positive dynamics is observed in all directions of the Company's activities. The level of non-technical losses has essentially decreased. Every year the investment program scope for development of PJSC «Mykolayivoblenergo» is increasing. By results of the first half-year 2011 the funding of the investment program is implemented for the amount of 56,570 million UAH that made 134% of the total plan. Compared to the same period in 2010 the funding of the investment program was provided for the amount of 19,173 million UAH that has made 45% of the total plan. The monthly average salary of one employee since June 1, 2011 makes 3372 UAH compared to 2575 UAH in 2010. Taking into account the high degree of hazard while operating the electric facilities, a special attention is paid to compliance
with safety precautions and constant increase of professional skills. According to the enterprise new structure each branch has an occupational safety engineer that has significantly improved the situation with occupational safety of the employees within the enterprise. Every year the practical studies and competitions between distribution networks' teams are carried out. The workers improve their skills within the Company's training centre.
Presently the Company has vigorous and well-coordinated staff of initiative specialists who provide daily electricity transmission to the most distant areas of the region. Many perspective solutions are currently under development. The Company's management is taking care of its staff by creating favourable climate and organizing recreation and health improvement of the workers. At the expense of the enterprise 13 employees of PJSC «Mykolayivoblenergo» get higher education.
Since June, 1 the group of dispatchers has started training under five months program within PJSC «Mykolayivoblenergo»'s training centre. In addition to theoretical studies, they have practical training within the Company's Central operating dispatching service and in the branches. The power engineering specialists do not stand aside of social problems within the region, they are generous on beneficence. The Company's staff assists the Mykolayiv welfare fund for social assistance to the poverty-stricken people, supports two children's homes for orphans and children from difficult families.
